  • Garden hose (you may already have one)
  • Teflon tape
  • Channel locks or plumber pliers

Step 3:  Remove the existing pressure gauge with the plumbing pliers and check for any blockages or buildups. You must remove the gauge by holding the brass fittings below the gauge. Move the gauge in an anticlockwise direction. If there is no buildup, get a new replacement gauge. Otherwise, remove the blockage or sediment buildup and test it if it works now.

Step 4: Now, you need to place the new gauge on the pressure tank’s female pressure threads and move it in a clockwise direction with your hand. Tighten it further with pliers.

Step 5: Remove the water hose and close the drain spigot.

Step 6: Turn on the water pump and observe the pressure gauge. If it responds to the change in pressure, you have successfully replaced the pressure gauge. Turn on the water supply to your home.
